Amelia finally decided to drink something else than mommy's milk. Yesterday she reached for my glass filled with water. Like a little bird - she is attracted to the water in a clear glass. She does not care for the cup at all, it has to be glass. And just like little bird - she does not take big sips yet :-) She refused to take a bottle, a sippy cup, etc. My friend told me that drinking from the cup goes along with self feeding the solids which she does. On Tuesday she snatched a french fry from my plate and ate it all. Funny girl, always makes us laugh :-)

She's beautiful... I can't believe she is skipping the whole sippy cup stage.. Good for her!!!! She truly looks like a little bird drinking from the cup... She is too cute.
ReplyDeleteAwww! How sweet is she! Of course she knows that glass is prettier than plastic! Too cute!
ReplyDeleteAmelia is such a sweetie! Way to go on drinking from a cup! She sounds like she is becoming so independent already!
ReplyDeleteHow cute!!!!! She may skip the sippy cup altogether! I also just read your other post about her new blocks from Grandma. That is a great set. I can already see how happy she is playing on it! And that smile is just too precious for words!
ReplyDeleteThat's great! Since Nate had a milk allergy he went from breastmilk to water. He enjoys some juice every now and then but I really water it down. Nate never took to a sippy cup. He prefers the cups by The First Years that come with a straw. They are disposable but I reuse them. Also great if they get left behind someplace because they're cheap.
ReplyDeleteYeah Amelia! She sees you drinking from a cup so that's what she wants to do too. Also, love the movie of her clapping for herself. It's so cute to see them recognize their successes.
