This is definitely our favorite Holiday. Easter. I hope you all had a wonderful time with your families. We combine Polish and American traditions. Kids have so much fun painting the eggs (previously cooked in onion skins, that not only gives awesome colors but also great taste!) We did that on Saturday as well as taking them to be blessed in the church. Egg hunting on Sunday came to our home with American tradition and we all have fun with that, not just kids. Ollie got a bit distracted trying to eat what's in the eggs before he even found all of them outside :-) As long as I remember - there was always beautiful Easter weather, this year did not disappoint us also so we spent good part of the day outside. It's too bad that Easter Monday does not get appropriate celebration here like it gets in Canada and Europe. Easter Monday in Poland is all about getting wet, everybody gets sprinkled with water for good luck and prosperous year. It's hard to keep up with this tradition if you leave for work at 7 am. But no complains. We simply love Easter, no matter how short!
