One more innovation and ENT visit

I came up with another invention supporting Amelia's straight and healthy posture during play. I found Ollie's old booster sit in the basement and let Amelia use it with her awesome activity table (thank you auntie Gula!). The booster sit is very low so Amelia's little feet touch the floor while she is playing and this is excellent, just like her PT recommended. It is hard to obtain such a straight position when the feet do not reach any support or, what's a bit worse, are straight in a deep chair. 
And  notice on the picture how the sit is color coordinated, perfectly matching the table! That was not planned :-)
I am not sure what's going on but last few days I am bombarded with great ideas ,including idea for a children's book.  I feel surrounded by a pink cloud. The ideas also come to fruition which is not typical of me :-) 

Ostatnio wpadlam na jescze jeden pomysl jak pomoc Amelii zachowac prosta, zdrowa postawe w czasie zabawy. W piwnicy znalazlam siedzonko Olivka ktore naczepialo sie na zwykle krzeslo zeby Oli siedzial wyzej. Teraz sluzy Amelce do zabawy przy jej muzykalnym stoliczku od Cioci Guli (dziekujemy!) To siedzonko jest bardzo niskie i Amelka dotyka stopkami podlogi, co jest super, tak jak zalecila fizykoerapeutka. Amelia jest prosta jak struna. Ciezka osiagnac taka postawe gdy nozki zwisaja bez oparcia lub co gorsza sa wyprostowane w glebokim krzesle.
Zauwazcie jak kolorystycznie pasuje to jej nowe siedzonko do stolika! Efekt zupelnie niezamierzony :-)
Zupelnie nie wiem co sie dzieje ale od kilku dni bombarduja mnie dobre pomysly, miedzy innymi pomysl na ksiazke dla dzieci. Otacza mnie rozowa chmura i to cos wiecej niz tylko optynizm, a co najwazniejsze te pomysly wykorzystuje w praktyce co nie jest dla mnie typowe.


Now, the ENT appointment. Very good news! It was Amelia's first ever and carried on the wave of recent good fortune it was an excellent one! The doctor was very nice and apparently had previous experience with skeletal displasias. He did not see any problems, no enlarged tonsils and adenoids, no fluids in the ears (what happens quite often in achondroplasia). Ami was very well behaved, highly praised by the doctor and the nurse as calm, and even smiling. She let the doctor look in her ears and throat without a single complain. My big Little Girl :-)
She will have a hearing test on 7/12 and then we'll take it from there. If the test is ok we will not even have to go back for the follow up anytime soon. We hope it will be that way.

A teraz o wizycie u laryngologa. Bardzo dobre wiesci! To byla pierwsza wizyta Amelki u tego specjalisty i na fali naszego ostatniego szczescia - byla to bardzo udana wizyta. Pan doktor byl bardzo mily i w dodatku mial wczesniejsze doswiadczenie w dysplazjach szkieletowych. W czasie badania nie doszukal sie zadnych problemow, ani powiekszonych migdalkow ani plynow w uszach (co czesto zdarza sie przy achondroplazji) Amelcia zachowywala sie wzorowo, lekarz i pielegniarka pochwalili jej pokojowe nastawienie i usmiech! Pozwolila lekarzowi zajrzec do uszu i gardla bez sprzeciwu. Moja kochana duza, Mala Dziewczynka! Test sluchu umwilismy na 12 lipca i zobaczymy jak wypadnie. Jak wszystko bedzie dobrze mamy spokoj z  laryngologiem na dluzszy czas! Oby tak bylo. Na zdjeciach Amelia po wyjsciu od lekarza szczesliwa i usmiechnieta.
